From North Jersey, take the Garden State Parkway South. Follow signs for the Parkway and merge onto NJ-36 E toward Atlantic Highlands. Continue on NJ-36 E until you reach the junction with NJ-36 S. Follow NJ-36 S for approximately 3 miles, then turn left onto Sandy Hook Access Road. Continue on this road until you reach the entrance to Fort Hancock. Note that parking fees may apply, so be prepared to pay a small fee at the entrance.

To reach Fort Hancock via public transportation, take NJ Transit Train from North Jersey to the Little Silver Station. Once you arrive, you can catch the Monmouth County Bus #834 toward Sandy Hook.
