From there, transfer to the M4 subway line at the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal station. Take the M4 towards the Bronx and get off at the 59th Street-Columbus Circle station. Central Park will be right across the street.

Walking
If you are already in downtown Paterson, walk to the intersection of Market Street and Main Street. From there, head southeast along Market Street until you reach the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park. This park is a bit of a diversion, but it's worth a visit. After visiting, head back to Market Street and walk to the light rail station.
