Getting There

  • Bus

    From the Paterson Bus Terminal, take NJ Transit bus #164 towards New York Port Authority. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop at 8th Ave and W 59th St in Manhattan. From there, walk east on West 59th St towards 5th Ave. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance of Central Park Zoo on the right.

  • Train

    Head to the Paterson Train Station and take a NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line to New York Penn Station. The journey will take about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Penn Station, transfer to the A, C, or E subway lines and take it to 59th St - Columbus Circle Station. Exit the station and walk east on West 59th St for about 0.3 miles until you reach Central Park Zoo on your right.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Great Falls National Historical Park, you can walk to the Paterson Train Station. It’s about a 20-minute walk. From the train station, follow the previous train guidance to reach Central Park Zoo.
