Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Old Stage Rd in Frelinghuysen. From nearby towns like Hackettstown or Newton, take Route 517 or Route 94 to reach Route 80. Merge onto Route 80 and take exit 26 for Route 206 North. Continue on Route 206 until you reach the intersection with Route 94. Turn right onto Route 94 and follow it until you reach Old Stage Rd. Turn left onto Old Stage Rd, and the Johnsonburg Swamp Preserve will be on your right. There is no admission fee to access the preserve.

For public transportation, the nearest NJ Transit train station is in Hackettstown. From Hackettstown, take the NJ Transit train to Mount Olive station. From Mount Olive, you may need to arrange for a taxi or a rideshare service to reach Johnsonburg Swamp Preserve. The preserve is approximately 15-20 minutes away by car from the Mount Olive station. Make sure to check train schedules ahead of time, as services may vary.
