Getting There

  • Car

    From Bandelier National Monument, exit the park via the main entrance and turn left onto NM-4 East. Follow NM-4 for approximately 12 miles until you reach the intersection with NM-502. Turn right onto NM-502 and continue for about 5 miles. You'll enter Los Alamos, and the Los Alamos Visitor Center will be on your right at 475 20th St Suite A. There's parking available nearby.

    Currently, there is no direct public transportation from Bandelier National Monument to Los Alamos Visitor Center. However, you can take the 'Blue Bus' service from the nearest bus stop at the park entrance to Los Alamos. You will need to check the bus schedule in advance to confirm the availability of service. Upon reaching Los Alamos, the bus will drop you off at a central location, and you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles to 475 20th St Suite A, where the Visitor Center is located.
