    From downtown Santa Fe, walk to the nearest bus stop at the Santa Fe Depot on Old Santa Fe Trail. Board the NM Rail Runner Express train heading north. After about 45 minutes, disembark at the Los Alamos station. From there, take the local bus (Route 2) which will take you directly to Canyon Road. Get off at the stop closest to 2600 Canyon Rd, and you will find the Los Alamos Nature Center.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Santa Fe. Start your ride from the Plaza and head west on San Francisco St until you reach the intersection with Cerrillos Rd. Continue on Cerrillos Rd heading northwest. Follow the road as it turns into NM-502, which leads you directly to Los Alamos. The distance is approximately 25 miles, so ensure you are prepared for a longer ride. Once in Los Alamos, follow the signs to Canyon Rd, where the nature center is located at 2600 Canyon Rd.

    If you prefer to walk, you can start from downtown Santa Fe. Head north on the Old Santa Fe Trail until you reach the junction with NM-502.
