From the center of Carlsbad, head east on W. Fox St toward S. Canal St. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with S. Canal St. Turn left onto S. Canal St and walk for about 0.3 miles. Then take a right onto W. Main St and continue for another 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with US-62 E/US-180 E. Turn left onto the highway and follow the pedestrian path along the side of the road for approximately 7.5 miles. This will lead you directly to 727 Carlsbad Cavern Hwy, where the Visitor Center is located. Be sure to stay safe by staying on the designated paths and watch for any passing vehicles.
