    From the center of Carlsbad, head west on W Fox St towards S Main St. Continue straight onto S Main St and walk until you reach the intersection with W Blodgett St. Turn left onto W Blodgett St and continue until you reach the intersection with S Canal St. Turn right onto S Canal St and keep going until you reach the first major intersection, which is the junction with E Riverside Dr. Turn left onto E Riverside Dr and follow the road as it curves to the right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with S 1st St. Turn left onto S 1st St and continue walking until you reach the nearest bus stop for public transportation.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    At the nearest bus stop, catch the Route 2 bus heading towards the Carlsbad MainStreet. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the stop near the intersection of E 11th St and S Canal St. From there, walk towards the waterfront area. Head west on E 11th St, then turn right onto S Harbor Dr. Follow S Harbor Dr until you reach Harbor Island Park, which will be on your left.

  • Bicycle Rental

    Find a nearby bicycle rental shop in Carlsbad, such as at the Carlsbad Museum and Art Center. Rent a bike and head south on S Main St. Continue to follow S Main St as it turns into S Canal St. Keep riding straight until you reach E Riverside Dr. Turn left onto E Riverside Dr and then a right onto S 1st St. Follow the signs to the waterfront, and you will arrive at Harbor Island Park in approximately 20 minutes.
