    Public Transit

    To reach Regatta Walk in San Diego from Carlsbad, start by walking to the nearest bus stop. Take the Breeze Bus Route 101 heading south towards Oceanside. Ride the bus until you reach the Oceanside Transit Center. Once there, transfer to the North County Transit District's COASTER train heading south towards San Diego. Disembark the train at the San Diego Santa Fe Depot. From the depot, you can either walk or take the MTS Bus Route 84 towards Point Loma. If walking, exit the depot and head southwest on W Broadway, then turn left onto India St. Continue walking until you reach the waterfront, then follow the signs to Regatta Walk.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Carlsbad. Start your journey by cycling south on Coast Highway 101. Follow the bike lanes along the coast until you reach Oceanside. From there, you can follow the same route as the bus by continuing to ride along the waterfront until you reach San Diego. Once you arrive in San Diego, navigate towards Point Loma by using bike-friendly routes or bike lanes, which will lead you directly to Regatta Walk.

    Walking

    If you're up for a long walk, start your journey by heading towards the nearest bus stop to take the Breeze Bus Route 101 to Oceanside. Once you reach Oceanside Transit Center, you can walk towards the COASTER train station. After arriving at San Diego Santa Fe Depot, you can walk towards the waterfront by heading southwest on W Broadway and then left onto India St. Continue walking until you reach the waterfront area where Regatta Walk is located. Note that the walk will take several hours, so be prepared with water and snacks.
