From any location in Northwest New Mexico, head towards US-70 E. If you're near Ruidoso, take NM-48 N, then merge onto US-70 E. Continue on US-70 E for about 20 miles. Turn right onto NM-220 E and continue for approximately 4 miles, then turn left onto Kit Carson Rd. Fort Stanton Historic Site will be on your right at 104 Kit Carson Rd, Fort Stanton, NM 88323. Parking is available on-site.
