Getting There

    From the Sandia Peak Tramway parking lot, head north on Tramway Blvd NE. Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with NM-536. Turn left onto NM-536 and follow the road up to the Sandia Crest. The La Luz Trailhead will be on your right just before you reach the Crest. There is a small parking area near the trailhead, but it can fill up quickly on weekends and holidays.

    Take the ABQ RIDE bus route 2 from the Sandia Peak Tramway stop. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at the intersection of Tramway Blvd and NM-536. From there, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles north along NM-536 to reach the La Luz Trailhead. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited on weekends and holidays.
