Then, turn left onto Goose Lake Road and follow the signs for Goose Lake Trail. The trailhead is well-marked and will be on your right after about 1 mile.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Taos to Red River. Once you arrive in Red River, you can either hike or take a taxi to the Goose Lake Trailhead. From the bus stop, head south on Main St toward E River St. Continue onto NM-38 E for about 3 miles, then turn left onto Goose Lake Road. The trailhead is about 1 mile down this road.
