    Start from the center of Shiprock. Head south on US-491 S for approximately 10 miles. After that, take a left onto CO-160 E and continue for about 45 miles until you see signs for Mesa Verde National Park. Follow the signs into the park, and continue on Tram Rte until you reach the Wetherill Mesa Information center, which will be on your right.

    From Shiprock, take the Navajo Transit bus service towards Farmington. Get off at the Farmington station and transfer to a bus heading towards Cortez.
