Getting There

Driving
From the Mesa Verde Visitor and Research Center, drive approximately 15 miles north on the main park road. Turn right onto Wetherill Mesa Road (milepost 15), a narrow, winding road. Drive for 12 miles to the Wetherill Mesa Information area. Allow 45 minutes for this drive. Note: Vehicles longer than 25 feet or heavier than 8,000 pounds are prohibited. Parking is available at the Wetherill Mesa parking area. There is no fee to park.

Public Transportation
While public transportation within Mesa Verde National Park is limited, a seasonal shuttle service may be available. Check with park staff at the Visitor Center for the shuttle schedule and routes. The shuttle will drop you off near the Wetherill Mesa Information Center. From there, you can access the various trails and sites on Wetherill Mesa.
