Walking
If you are starting from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech), exit the campus towards the intersection of E. 9th St and S. California St. Head south on California St until you reach E. 2nd St. Turn right (west) on E. 2nd St and continue walking until you reach Buck Wolfe Dr. Once you reach Buck Wolfe Dr, turn left, and the Frank T. Etscorn Campus Observatory will be on your right.
Bicycle
Starting from the central plaza in Socorro, head east on E. 3rd St until you reach California St. Turn left (north) on California St and ride until you reach E. 2nd St. Turn right (east) on E. 2nd St, and then left (north) onto Buck Wolfe Dr. Follow Buck Wolfe Dr, and you will find the observatory on your left.
Public Transport
If you are using public transportation, take the local bus service from the Socorro Transit Center. Board the bus heading towards New Mexico Tech. Disembark at the stop closest to California St and E. 2nd St. From there, walk east on E. 2nd St, turn left on Buck Wolfe Dr, and the observatory will be on your right.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a taxi or rideshare, provide the driver with the address Buck Wolfe Dr, Socorro, NM 87801. The observatory is well-known locally, so the driver should be familiar with the route. If you are picked up from the central plaza or nearby hotels, it should be a short ride, approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic.
