    From the center of Taos Ski Valley, head east on Twining Road. Continue on this road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with Twining Blue Lake Pack Trail. Turn left onto Twining Blue Lake Pack Trail. Drive for approximately 0.3 miles, where you will find a parking area. Park your car here as this is the closest access point to Mt. Walter. Be aware that parking may incur a fee, so have some cash or a credit card ready.

    Hiking

    After parking, start your hike by following the Twining Blue Lake Pack Trail. The trailhead is well-marked and begins just beyond the parking area. The hike to Mt.
