From the White Sands National Park visitor center, exit the building and head south towards the main road (U.S. Route 70). Turn right onto U.S. Route 70 and walk along the shoulder. Follow the road for approximately 1.5 miles. You will see a sign for White Sands Gate on your left. Cross safely to the gate area.

If you have access to a bike, start at the White Sands National Park visitor center. Head south towards U.S. Route 70. Turn right onto U.S. Route 70 and bike along the shoulder for about 1.5 miles. White Sands Gate will be on your left. Make sure to obey all traffic signals and bike safely.
Public Transportation
