    From the Adirondack Mountains, take NY-28 S towards Kingston. Merge onto NY-87 S (the New York State Thruway) towards New York City. Continue on I-87 S for approximately 50 miles. Take exit 21 for US-9 towards Hudson. Merge onto US-9 N and continue for about 5 miles. Turn left onto NY-9G S. After approximately 1 mile, Olana State Historic Site will be on your left at 5720 NY-9G, Hudson, NY 12534. There is a parking fee of $10 for non-residents.

From Albany, take the CDTA (Capital District Transportation Authority) bus route 219 towards Hudson. Get off at the stop nearest to the Hudson train station.
