Walking
Begin at the Hudson River waterfront park located at Promenade Hill Park. From the park, head south along the waterfront path. Continue walking along the Hudson River, enjoying the views of the river and the surrounding area. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the end of the path where you can see the Hudson Athens Lighthouse in the distance across the river, but you will need to take a ferry to get there.

To reach the Hudson Athens Lighthouse, walk to the Hudson-Athens Ferry terminal located at the end of the waterfront path. Look for the ferry schedule posted at the terminal. Purchase a ticket from the ticket booth or onboard the ferry if required. Board the ferry and enjoy a scenic ride across the Hudson River, which takes about 10 minutes. Keep an eye out for the lighthouse as you approach the Athens side.

Once you disembark from the ferry at the Athens terminal, walk south along the path towards the Hudson Athens Lighthouse. Follow the signs that indicate the direction to the lighthouse.
