Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, enter the address 4 Maude Adams Rd, Tannersville, NY 12485 into your GPS. From central Catskill, take NY-23 W towards Tannersville. After about 15 miles, turn right onto NY-32 N. Continue on NY-32 N for approximately 4 miles, then turn left onto Maude Adams Rd. The Mountain Top Arboretum will be on your right. There is no entry fee to access the arboretum, but parking may be limited on busy days.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the Trailways bus from New York City to Tannersville. Upon arrival at the Tannersville bus station, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Mountain Top Arboretum. The distance from the bus station to the arboretum is approximately 2 miles. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary, and confirm taxi availability as it may be limited in the area.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike to the Mountain Top Arboretum, you can cycle from Tannersville. Start at the center of Tannersville and head north on NY-32 N. Follow the same route as cars, taking Maude Adams Rd. It’s approximately a 2-mile ride. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws for safety.

  For those staying nearby or willing to walk, you can take a scenic hike from Tannersville to the arboretum. The trail from the town center to 4 Maude Adams Rd is about 2 miles and offers a beautiful view of the Catskills. Be sure to wear good walking shoes and bring water, especially in warmer months.
