If you are traveling by car, start on NY-28 from any location in the Catskill Mountains. Continue on NY-28 until you reach the intersection with County Route 47 in the town of Shandaken. Turn onto County Route 47 and follow the signs for Slide Mountain (approximately 6 miles). The road will lead you to the Slide Mountain trailhead parking area. There is a parking fee of $10 per vehicle, which can be paid at a kiosk.
