Car
If you're traveling by car, start on NY-28 W from the Catskill region. You'll want to head west towards the town of Olive. Continue on NY-28 W for approximately 15 miles. When you reach the intersection with County Route 42, turn left onto CR-42. Follow CR-42 for about 5 miles until you reach Peekamoose Road. Turn right onto Peekamoose Road, which will take you to the Peekamoose Mountain trailhead. Make sure to check for parking availability, as there may be a small fee or permit required depending on the time of year.

For those using public transportation, the nearest bus station is in Kingston, NY. From Kingston, take the Trailways bus to the town of Olive. Once in Olive, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as public transport does not go directly to the trailhead. Request a ride to Peekamoose Road, where you can access the trailhead. Be sure to check bus schedules in advance, as they may vary, and factor in time for your taxi or rideshare to arrive.
