Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the Fire Island ferry terminals located in Bay Shore. Take the Southern State Parkway or Sunrise Highway to Bay Shore. Once you arrive, park your car at the designated parking areas (be mindful of parking fees which can vary). Purchase a ferry ticket from the Bay Shore Ferry terminal to Fair Harbor. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes. After disembarking at the Fair Harbor dock, walk straight towards Broadway Ave which will lead you to Fair Harbor beach.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to the Bay Shore Station. Upon arrival, you can either grab a taxi or ride-sharing service to the Bay Shore ferry terminal (approximately a 5-minute drive). At the ferry terminal, buy your ticket to Fair Harbor. The ferry ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you reach Fair Harbor, follow the path towards Broadway Ave and you will arrive at Fair Harbor beach.
