From any location in Hudson Valley, make your way to Route 9D. If you're coming from the north, head south on Route 9D; if you're coming from the south, head north. Follow Route 9D until you reach Beacon, NY. Look for the signs for the Beacon Ferry, which is located at 1 Ferry Street, Beacon, NY 12508. Upon arriving at the ferry terminal, you can park your car in the designated parking area. The ferry will take you across the Hudson River to Pollepel Island, where Bannerman Castle is located. Note that the ferry usually charges a small fee (around $8 for a round trip) and operates seasonally, so check the schedule ahead of time.

If you prefer to use public transportation, start by taking the Metro-North Railroad from your nearest station to Beacon. The Hudson Line trains will take you directly to the Beacon station. Once you arrive at Beacon, walk approximately 1 mile to the Beacon Ferry terminal located at 1 Ferry Street. From there, you can catch the ferry to Pollepel Island. The ferry ride is approximately 10 minutes long and costs around $8 for a round trip. Be sure to check the ferry schedule as it operates less frequently during off-peak seasons.
