Getting There

Walking
From the center of Hudson, head east on Warren Street. Continue straight as Warren Street becomes Route 9G. After about 1 mile, you will reach the intersection with the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Cross the bridge on foot, enjoying the views of the Hudson River. Once you reach the Poughkeepsie side, follow the signs to the Walkway Over the Hudson entrance, which will be just south of the bridge.

Rent a bike from one of the local shops in Hudson. Start your ride by heading east on Warren Street, then take a left onto Route 9G. Follow Route 9G for about 1 mile until you reach the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Ride across the bridge, and then follow the signs to the Walkway Over the Hudson entrance on the Poughkeepsie side.

From Hudson, take the Trailways bus service to Poughkeepsie. The bus will drop you off at the Poughkeepsie station. Once you arrive, exit the station and head west on Main Street. Continue straight to the Hudson River waterfront, where you will find the entrance to the Walkway Over the Hudson.
