From Hudson's downtown area, head east on Warren Street towards the river. Continue walking until you reach 3rd Street. Turn left onto 3rd Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Route 9G. Turn right onto Route 9G. Continue walking north on Route 9G for approximately 2 miles. Olana State Historic Site will be on your left at 5720 NY-9G. The walk will take you through a scenic area with views of the Hudson River.

If you're biking, start in the downtown Hudson area and head towards the Hudson River. Follow the bike path along the riverfront until you reach 3rd Street. Take a left on 3rd Street and then turn right onto Route 9G. Follow Route 9G north for about 2 miles, using caution as this is a roadway. Olana State Historic Site will be on your left at 5720 NY-9G. This route is approximately 2 miles and offers a pleasant ride with beautiful views.
