If you're driving to the New York State Historical Association (NYSHA) from within the Leatherstocking Region, head to NY-80 in Cooperstown. From the center of Cooperstown, you can take Main Street and head east until you reach NY-80. Once on NY-80, continue for about 2 miles, and you'll find NYSHA located at 5798 NY-80 on your right. There is parking available on-site, and there are no fees for parking.

Once you arrive at the Cooperstown bus station, which is located at 32 Main St, Cooperstown, you can either walk or take a taxi to NYSHA. If walking, head east on Main St until you reach NY-80, then turn right and walk for approximately 2 miles until you reach 5798 NY-80. Be prepared for a longer walk, approximately 40 minutes. Alternatively, taxis can be called from the bus station, which may incur a fare of around $15-$20 depending on distance.
