Getting There
Train
To reach Seaside Beach in Bridgeport, CT from Long Island, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to Penn Station in Manhattan. From there, transfer to the Metro-North Railroad and take the New Haven Line train towards New Haven. Get off at the Bridgeport station. Once you arrive at Bridgeport, exit the train station and head south on Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach East Main Street. Turn left on East Main Street and continue walking until you reach Seaside Park, where Seaside Beach is located.
Bus
If you prefer to travel by bus, take the Long Island Bus (Nassau or Suffolk County) to the nearest bus terminal. From there, find a Greyhound or Peter Pan bus service that goes to Bridgeport, CT. Once you arrive at the Bridgeport bus terminal, you can take a local bus (such as the 10 or 11 bus routes) towards Seaside Park. Get off at the Seaside Park entrance, and you will find Seaside Beach within walking distance.
Ferry
For a scenic route, take the Long Island ferry from Port Jefferson to Bridgeport. Once you arrive at Bridgeport Ferry Terminal, exit the terminal and head towards the main road. You can either walk or take a local bus (look for the 10 or 11 routes) that will take you to Seaside Park. The beach is located inside Seaside Park, so follow the signs to find Seaside Beach.
Bicycle
