If you're in the center of Montauk, start at the Montauk Train Station on Station Road. Head south on Station Road towards Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with South Elmwood Avenue. Turn right onto South Elmwood Avenue and continue straight until you reach the end of the road. At the T-intersection, turn left onto South Fairview Avenue. Walk about 0.3 miles and you will see Montauk Downs State Park Golf Course on your right at 50 S Fairview Ave.

From the center of Montauk, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Start at the Montauk Train Station and head south on Station Road. Turn left onto Main Street and ride for approximately 0.5 miles. At the intersection with South Elmwood Avenue, turn right and continue straight until you reach the T-intersection. Turn left onto South Fairview Avenue. The golf course is about 0.3 miles ahead on your right at 50 S Fairview Ave.
