    If you are starting from the center of Montauk, head south on Main Street towards the beach. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Montauk Highway (NY-27). Cross the highway carefully to the south side. After crossing, turn left and walk east along Montauk Highway. As you walk, keep an eye out for signs indicating Ditch Plains Beach. Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach Ditch Plains Road on your right. Turn onto Ditch Plains Road and walk straight for approximately 0.5 miles. You will see the beach entrance on your left side.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From the center of Montauk, locate the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) bus stop at the Montauk Train Station. Take the Suffolk County Transit bus route S92 towards Amagansett. Inform the driver you would like to get off at Ditch Plains Beach. The bus will take you directly to Ditch Plains Beach, and the stop is a short walk from the entrance to the beach.

    Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Montauk. Start from the center of Montauk and head south on Main Street towards the beach.
