From the Montauk train station, you can take the Suffolk County Transit bus (Route 10) towards the Montauk Point area. Board the bus at the station and stay on for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop for Montauk Point State Park, which is clearly marked. The park entrance is just a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Montauk. Start on Main Street heading east and follow the signs towards East Lake Drive. Continue on East Lake Drive until you reach the intersection with Montauk Highway (Route 27). Turn left onto Montauk Highway and then take a right on Montauk Point State Parkway. Follow this road directly to Montauk Point State Park. The ride is approximately 7 miles and offers beautiful views along the way.

Walking
For those who enjoy walking, start from the center of Montauk. Head east on Main Street towards the beach, then turn left on South Emerson Avenue. Follow this until you reach East Lake Drive. Turn right on East Lake Drive and walk along the shoreline until you reach the intersection with Montauk Highway (Route 27). Cross the highway carefully and continue on Montauk Point State Parkway. The park is about 2.5 miles from the highway crossing. Enjoy the scenic views as you make your way to Montauk Point State Park.
