Train
Start at the Poughkeepsie Train Station. Take a Metro-North train on the Hudson Line heading north towards Beacon. The train ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Beacon Station, exit the train and head towards Main Street.
Walk
From Beacon Station, walk south on Main Street towards the intersection with Route 9D. This walk will take about 15 minutes. At the intersection, turn left onto Route 9D and continue walking for about 1 mile, passing the scenic views of the Hudson River.
Bus
Alternatively, after exiting Beacon Station, you can take the Dutchess County Public Transit bus (Route 1) towards Beacon. Get off at the stop closest to Sunnyside Rd. From there, it’s a short walk to 32 Sunnyside Rd. Follow Sunnyside Rd until you reach the Fishkill Ridge Trail entrance.
Bike
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Beacon. Ride along Main Street and then take Route 9D towards Fishkill Ridge. The ride is approximately 2 miles and offers beautiful views along the way.
