From White Plains, walk to the White Plains Metro-North train station. Take the Harlem Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the 125th Street Station. From there, transfer to the A or C subway line at the 125th Street station. Take the A train downtown towards Far Rockaway or the C train towards Euclid Avenue, and get off at the 59th Street - Columbus Circle station. Transfer to the 1 subway line and take it downtown towards South Ferry. Get off at the 116th Street station. From there, walk east on West 116th Street, then turn right onto Riverside Drive. The Riverside Church is located at 490 Riverside Drive, about a 10-minute walk from the station.

From the White Plains Bus Terminal, take the Westchester County Bee-Line Bus #40 towards the Bronx. Get off at the 125th Street and Amsterdam Avenue stop. Transfer to the M10 bus towards the Battery Park City. Get off at the Riverside Drive and 120th Street stop. From there, walk south on Riverside Drive for about 5 blocks until you reach the Riverside Church at 490 Riverside Drive.

If you're already in the downtown area of White Plains, you can walk to the White Plains Metro-North train station. From there, take a train to New York City as described above. Alternatively, if you are near the bus terminal, you can catch the bus as mentioned.
