Start at the Yonkers Metro-North station. Board the Hudson Line train heading south towards Grand Central Terminal. Ride for about 25 minutes and get off at the 125th Street station. From there, transfer to the A or C subway line at the 125th Street station. Take the A train towards Far Rockaway or the C train towards Euclid Avenue. Get off at the Nostrand Avenue station, then transfer to the Q subway line at the nearby Nostrand Avenue station. Take the Q train towards Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and get off at the Bedford Avenue station. Walk north on Bedford Avenue until you reach N 12th St, then turn left. Continue walking until you reach Union Ave, where McCarren Park Greenmarket is located.

Begin at the Yonkers Public Library or a nearby bus stop. Catch the Bee-Line Bus #1 heading towards the Bronx. Ride for approximately 15-20 minutes to the junction with the Metro-North station. From there, transfer to the Bee-Line Bus #11, which runs towards Brooklyn. Stay on this bus for around 35-40 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Union Ave & N 12th St. Walk a short distance to the McCarren Park Greenmarket.

If you're near the downtown area of Yonkers, you can walk to the nearest subway station, which is the Yonkers Metro-North station. From there, follow the subway guidance as described above. Alternatively, if you prefer walking, head down Warburton Avenue until you reach the waterfront, then follow the walking paths along the Hudson River. Keep going until you reach the nearest subway station. This is a longer option, so make sure you have enough time and wear comfortable shoes.
