Getting There

  • Public Transit - Subway

    From Yonkers, make your way to the Yonkers Metro-North Railroad station. Take the train towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at Grand Central Terminal. Once there, follow the signs to the 42nd Street subway station and take the 4, 5, 6, or 7 subway line south to the Bowling Green station. From Bowling Green station, head east on State Street toward the waterfront. Turn right onto Pearl Street and continue until you reach Fulton Street. The South Street Seaport Museum will be on your right at 12 Fulton St.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    Start at the Yonkers Public Library, where you can catch the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards Bronx Terminal Market. Get off at the last stop, the Bronx Terminal Market. From there, transfer to the Bx6 bus towards West Farm Road. Ride it until you reach the Wall Street/Water Street stop. Walk south on Water Street until you reach Fulton Street, then turn left. The South Street Seaport Museum will be located at 12 Fulton St.

    If you're already in central Yonkers, make your way to the Hudson River waterfront. Follow the waterfront path south until you reach the Yonkers Metro-North station. From there, take the Metro-North train towards Grand Central Terminal. Once at Grand Central, switch to the subway as described above. After exiting the subway at Bowling Green, walk east on State Street to Pearl Street, then right onto Fulton Street to reach the museum.
