From anywhere in Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North train station located at 1 Alexander Street. Purchase a ticket to Grand Central Station in Manhattan. Once you arrive at Grand Central, follow the signs to the S train (Shuttle) to Times Square. Get off at the Times Square-42nd Street stop. From there, transfer to the 1 subway train heading downtown towards South Ferry. Get off at the 34th Street-Penn Station stop. Exit the station and walk to the nearby Port Authority Bus Terminal. Take the MTA Bus Q19 towards Astoria and get off at the stop closest to Hell Gate Bridge in Queens. From there, it's a short walk to the bridge.
