Getting There

  • Bus

    Start by taking a bus from Auckland Central to Papakura. You can catch a bus from the Auckland CBD at the Britomart Transport Centre. Look for bus routes that go to Papakura, such as the 7 or 12. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Papakura bus station, exit the station and head to the adjacent train station.

  • Train

    From Papakura, board the Southern Line train towards Pukekohe. Stay on the train for about 15 minutes and disembark at the Hunua train station. As you exit the train station, you will need to walk towards the main road.

  • Walking

    Once you reach the main road, walk south onto Hunua Road. Continue walking for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the Hunua Ranges Regional Park sign. The entrance to the park is near Falls Road, where you will find signage directing you to Hunua Falls.
