To reach Rotoroa Island from Auckland, start your journey at the Auckland Ferry Terminal located at 99 Quay Street. From the city center, you can walk to the terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk from places like Aotea Square. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Rotoroa Island. The ferry ride takes approximately 75 minutes. Be sure to check the ferry schedule in advance, as services may vary throughout the day.

If you are not near the Auckland Ferry Terminal, you can take a bus to get there. Use the AT Metro bus service and board any bus heading towards the city center, such as the 1, 2, or 3 lines. Get off at the Britomart Transport Centre, which is the main bus hub. From Britomart, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Auckland Ferry Terminal. Once at the terminal, follow the instructions above to catch the ferry to Rotoroa Island.

If you are staying in the central business district of Auckland, walking to the ferry terminal is a great option. Start from Aotea Square and head east along Victoria Street. Continue straight until you reach Quay Street, then turn left. Follow Quay Street until you see the ferry terminal on your right. This walk should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace.
