Ferry
To reach Takarunga / Mount Victoria from Auckland's central area, head to the Downtown Ferry Terminal located on Quay Street. You can take the Link Bus (Green Line) to get there if necessary. At the terminal, purchase a ticket for the Devonport ferry, which departs frequently. The ferry ride takes about 12 minutes. Once you arrive at Devonport, exit the ferry terminal and walk straight down Victoria Road. Continue until you reach Kerr Street, where you will turn left. Follow Kerr Street until you arrive at Takarunga / Mount Victoria.

If you prefer to travel by bus, catch the bus number 804 or 805 from the central city (Auckland City Bus Station on Victoria Street). Make sure to check the bus schedule, as some services may vary. The bus will take you through various suburbs before reaching Devonport. You will want to get off at the 'Devonport Village' stop. From there, walk down Victoria Road until you reach Kerr Street, then turn left. Continue walking on Kerr Street until you reach Takarunga / Mount Victoria.
