Bus
To reach Akaroa Craft Distillery Tasting House from Christchurch, start at the Christchurch Bus Exchange located at 37 Lichfield Street. Take the 'Akaroa Shuttle' bus operated by Canterbury Recreational Tours. The bus departs several times a day, so check the schedule in advance. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Akaroa, the bus will drop you off at the central bus stop on the main road. From there, walk towards Rue Lavaud, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head east on the main road, then turn left onto Rue Lavaud. The distillery is located at 45 Rue Lavaud.

Once you have your bike, head towards the Little River Rail Trail, which leads out of Christchurch towards Akaroa. The trail is approximately 85 km long and will take around 4-5 hours to bike. Follow the trail signs towards Akaroa. Upon reaching Akaroa, make your way to Rue Lavaud, where you will find the distillery at 45 Rue Lavaud.
