If you are starting from the Christchurch Bus Interchange, head to the bus stop located within the interchange. Take the bus number 3, 5, or 6 towards the city center. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop on Manchester Street near the Christchurch Central Library. From there, walk south along Manchester Street until you reach the intersection with Montreal Street. Turn left onto Montreal Street and continue walking for about 5 minutes. The Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū will be on your right at 312 Montreal Street.

If you are near the Cathedral Square, you can hop on the Christchurch Tram. Take the tram heading towards the Arts Centre. Once you reach the tram stop at the Art Gallery (the stop is right outside the gallery), get off. The Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū will be directly in front of you at 312 Montreal Street.
