Public Transport - Bus
If you're starting from the Christchurch Bus Interchange, head to the bus stop located on Lichfield Street. Take the number 29 bus towards 'Sumner'. It will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop on Gloucester Street. From there, walk a short distance to your left, and you will find the Christchurch Art Gallery at 49 Gloucester Street.

If you are already in the central city area, you can walk to the Art Gallery. Locate yourself at the Christchurch Cathedral in Cathedral Square. Walk east on Hereford Street, then turn left onto Colombo Street. Continue straight for about 6 minutes until you reach Gloucester Street. Turn right, and the Art Gallery will be on your left at 49 Gloucester Street.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in the city. Start from the central city and head towards the Avon River.
