From the Christchurch city center, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Blue Line bus (Route 3) towards Northwood. The bus departs from the Bus Interchange located at 100 Lichfield Street. Make sure to check the schedule for the most up-to-date departure times. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Northwood, which is near the intersection of Northwood Boulevard and Marshland Road. After disembarking, walk north along Northwood Boulevard until you reach Hussey Road. Turn left onto Hussey Road, and Willowbank Wildlife Reserve will be on your right at 60 Hussey Road.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in the city. Start your journey from the city center and head east towards the Avon River. Follow the river path until you reach the intersection with Fitzgerald Avenue. Turn left onto Fitzgerald Avenue and cycle north until you reach the intersection with Marshland Road. Turn right onto Marshland Road and continue until you reach Northwood Boulevard. Turn left onto Northwood Boulevard and then left onto Hussey Road. The entrance to Willowbank Wildlife Reserve will be on your right at 60 Hussey Road.

For those who enjoy walking, you can start from the city center at Cathedral Square. Head east on Worcester Boulevard until you reach the Avon River. Follow the river path north until you reach the intersection with Fitzgerald Avenue. Cross Fitzgerald Avenue and continue walking north along the path until you reach Marshland Road. Turn right onto Marshland Road and walk until you reach Northwood Boulevard. Turn left onto Northwood Boulevard, and then take another left onto Hussey Road. Willowbank Wildlife Reserve will be on your right at 60 Hussey Road.
