If you are starting from the central city area, walk to the nearest bus stop and take either the Orbiter bus or the Route 29 bus towards Fendalton. The bus will take you along Colombo Street. Get off at the 'Fendalton Village' stop. From there, walk north on Fendalton Road for about 10 minutes until you reach Mona Vale Gatehouse, which is located at the end of the park.

If you are close to the central city, you can walk to Mona Vale Gatehouse. Start at the Canterbury Museum and head west along Rolleston Avenue. Continue onto Victoria Street and then take a left onto Bealey Avenue. Follow Bealey Avenue until you reach Fendalton Road. Turn right and walk down Fendalton Road for about 20 minutes until you arrive at Mona Vale Gatehouse, located within the park.

For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in the city center. Head west on Armagh Street, then onto Victoria Street. Keep following the cycle path along the river until you reach Fendalton. Once you reach Fendalton Road, turn left and continue cycling north for about 10 minutes until you find Mona Vale Gatehouse within the park.
