    If you are driving from Te Anau, head east on Te Anau-Manapouri Highway (State Highway 94) for about 4 kilometers. Look for the signs directing you to Punanga Manu o Te Anau / Te Anau Bird Sanctuary on your left. The sanctuary is located at RD 162 Manapouri Te Anau Highway, Te Anau 9679. There is parking available on-site. Note that there is no admission fee.
