Car
From Fox Glacier, start by heading northwest on State Highway 6 (SH6) towards Haast. Continue driving for approximately 30 kilometers (about 30 minutes). You will pass through the beautiful rainforest and coastal scenery. Look for the Ship Creek sign on your left side as you approach Haast. The entrance to Ship Creek is located at 7886/10714 Haast Highway, Haast 7886. There is a parking area available for visitors.

If you are using public transport, you will need to check the local bus schedules, as services may be limited. The local bus service from Fox Glacier to Haast is operated by the West Coast Shuttle. You can catch the bus from the Fox Glacier township and request a stop at Ship Creek. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Make sure to confirm the bus schedules in advance and check if you need to book a seat. The cost for a one-way ticket is around NZD 30.
