Car
If you are driving from Napier, head southeast on SH2 towards Hastings. As you reach Hastings, take the exit towards SH51 and head towards Clive. Continue on SH51 until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto SH2 towards Wairoa. Follow SH2 for approximately 30 km until you see signs for Clifton and Cape Kidnappers. Turn right onto Clifton Road and continue straight until you reach the Gannet colony car park. Note that parking may have a small fee, so be prepared to pay.

From Napier, take a bus towards Hastings. Once in Hastings, transfer to another bus service that heads towards Clifton. Check local bus schedules for the latest information. After arriving in Clifton, you will need to arrange for a taxi or shuttle service to take you to the Gannet colony as public transport does not reach the colony directly.
