From the Invercargill city center, head west on Dee Street towards the intersection with Don Street. Continue straight onto Tay Street, which will take you out of the city. Walk along Tay Street for approximately 3.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Here, take the second exit onto the State Highway 1 (SH1) heading south. After a short distance, take the exit for Bluff (State Highway 1). Follow Bluff Highway until you see signs for Ocean Beach. Turn left onto Ocean Beach Road, and continue until you reach the beach area. The total walking distance is approximately 6 kilometers, and it should take around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Start at Invercargill city center and head towards Dee Street, following the same route as the walking directions. Once you reach Tay Street, continue cycling for approximately 3.5 kilometers. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto State Highway 1 (SH1) heading south. Continue cycling along Bluff Highway, keeping an eye out for the Ocean Beach signs. When you reach Ocean Beach Road, turn left and ride until you arrive at the beach. The total biking distance is about 6 kilometers and should take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your cycling speed.

From the Invercargill city center, you can take a bus heading towards Bluff. Check the local bus schedule for routes that specifically stop at Bluff. Once you reach Bluff, disembark at the Bluff Bus Stop. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 kilometers) or take a taxi to Ocean Beach. If walking, head south on Bluff Highway, then turn left onto Ocean Beach Road.
