After approximately 7 km, merge onto State Highway 57 (SH57) towards Levin. After about 17 km, turn left onto the Aokautere Road. Follow Aokautere Road for about 2 km and then turn right onto Tawa Loop Walk. Drive to the end of the road where you'll find parking available near the lookout. The total drive is approximately 30 minutes.

Check the local bus timetable for the most current routes and times. The bus will drop you off at a stop on Aokautere Road. From there, it is a 15-minute walk to the Tawa Loop Walk. Follow Aokautere Road until you reach Tawa Loop Walk and then continue on foot until you arrive at White Horse Rapids Lookout. Please note that the bus fare may vary based on your route, but expect to pay around NZD 3-5.
