Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Blenheim, the main town in Marlborough. Take State Highway 1 heading south for about 26 km until you reach the turnoff for Kenepuru Road. Turn left onto Kenepuru Road and follow it for approximately 26 km until you reach the end of the road at Kenepuru Head. From there, follow the signs to Mount Stokes Track. There are no fees to park at the trailhead.

Public transport options are limited in this rural area. However, you can take a bus from Blenheim to Picton. Once in Picton, hire a taxi or use a rideshare service to reach the Kenepuru Road turnoff.
